Pat Crowley was the Editorial Cartoonist for the Palm Beach Post (Florida) from 1979 to 1994 and Creative Director from 1995 to 2008. His political cartoons were distributed to hundreds of newspapers throughout the United States by the San Diego based Copley News Service and appeared in Time, Newsweek, U.S. News and World Report, The Washington Post, and the New York Times
He was a founding staffer, Editorial Cartoonist, and illustrator for The Hill newspaper in Washington D.C. from 1994 to 2000.
DRAWING THE HEAD AND FIGURE - WEDNESDAY AFTERNOONS
Join us for Drawing the Head and Figure, where we focus on the art of drawing the human head and portraits, while refining essential pencil techniques. Whether you're just starting out or looking to enhance your skills, this class is designed to support artists at any level.
Led by experienced instructor Pat Crowley, you'll learn how to capture the unique details of the human face, including facial features, expressions, and proportions. Emphasis will be placed on mastering pencil techniques such as controlling line weight, shading, blending, and adding intricate details.
Please note that some sessions may include a live model for portrait work, which does require an additional fee.
Students should bring their own pencils, erasers, and sketchbook.
