ART CLAY SILVER

Instructor - Jennifer Kirsch
Jennifer Kirsch is the one-woman artist/owner of Atlantic Sea Glass Design. She is a senior level Metal Clay Instructor certified by Art Clay World, USA, an instructor member of the Alliance for Metal Clay Arts Worldwide, and a professional member of the International Sea Glass Association. Her journey began with her love of nature and animals, collecting ocean tumbled glass along the Jersey Shore where she spent her summers to handcraft silver wire-wrapped pendants to raise funds for local animal rescues. Wanting more artistic expression to design around the sea glass that inspired her, she enrolled in metal smithing classes and then discovered the Japanese art of metal clay. This seemingly magical metal made from 99.9% pure silver can be shaped, molded, textured and sculpted while wet and, after drying, can be refined and carved by hand. Working in pure, fine silver, Jennifer seeks to capture the beauty of the ocean and coastal life in wearable art. She enjoys teaching others the art of metal clay in a fun and friendly environment that encourages creativity and artistic expression.
