Instructor - Carole DiTerlizzi

Carole is primarily a watercolor artist that works in a variety of genres and mediums such as oil, acrylic, air brush, gouache, silk and glass painting clay sculpture, etc. She started painting in watercolor in the early ‘60's at a nearby community college (LSCC, LaSierra, CA) at age 14 upon the recommendation of her art teacher. She is largely self-taught, but returned to college in her 50's to further her art education (PBCC, Palm Beach Gardens, Fl.) Within her first year, she was honored as Student of The Year (’94 - ‘95) and had her first solo show.

During the ‘80's & 90's, she was very involved with her local art community as board member and president of the N. Palm Beach Art Society, founding member of the Visual Artists and member of the Art People in Jupiter. She participated and organized many art shows in her community for more than a decade including numerous art shows and (as an exhibitor) in the Lighthouse annual art shows, Sunfest etc.

In addition, she is a previous Special Recognition winner (2 awards ) All Women’s and Nature categories / 2013, Special Merit Award winner (2 awards ) Abstract category /2013 and 2018 in the LightSpaceTime online gallery competitions.

One of her passions is creating Zen Art, sometimes referred to as Zentangles. Her observation of this process is that she is very open and in a calm mind set. The intuitive pieces are her interpretations of that state of "one-ness" with mind, body and soul.
